In order to ensure that our drop-in is a safe place for women, we have a female only team at drop-in*

Our drop-in volunteers need to be 18+ years old.

Able to honour our YWAM beliefs & values

Flexible, reliable & wholeheartedly committed. - We would love it if you can commit to at least 2 weeks a month as this ensures there are enough team to be able to make each drop-in a really positive experience for guests who come.

Able to give 2 character references who have known you for 2 years+

All applicants are subject to a DBS check - this is will cost you £30
In 2022/2023 we are taking part in WREN. This is a program open to our drop-in volunteers.

- WREN FOR GATHER VOLUNTEERS -
The WREN (Women Rising Enabling Neighbourhoods) grant programme offers grassroots organisations providing support to women, the opportunity to train them as community champions. It will provide free training and qualifications to upskill volunteers so they can offer professional advice around things like housing, debt, substance misuse and domestic abuse to women in their community.
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Gather. Get in touch with any questions about how you can volunteer your time today.

We need people to come alongside our ministry - become an ambassador for Gather in your community (e.g. church, school, sports team or work)
Having an “open door” is fundamental to the ethos of Gather as a Christian faith-based ministry, we work alongside and welcome those of other faiths or none without compromising our commitment to our Christian witness. Therefore, in order to maintain this ethos it is essential that certain roles are filled by committed Christians* - e.g. core team, team leaders, prayer team.
